Dog Mom Down Under aims to provide high quality service, minimising the waiting time and stress that comes with waiting. The salon will groom and attend to dogs from start to finish enabling a grooming to be completed in an optimal amount of time.
The policy is to usually start within fifteen minutes of the scheduled appointment and a pick up time will be advised or contact will be made 10 to 15 minutes before the completion time to reduce the amount of time your dog will spend in the salon.
Before arrival:
Please do not feed your dogs within three hours of a grooming appointment.
On arrival:
All dogs should be either contained in carry compartments or on leads on arrival and pick-up. Although your dog may be well-behaved, we cannot guarantee all dogs you encounterhave those same great qualities.Arrive slightly early to toilet your dog prior to entry and fill out client information forms. Don’t forget to pick up after your dog – plastic bags are available on site. Please let me know if your dog has been feeling “out-of-sorts”, unwell or “not him/herself” in the past few days.
Special Needs dogs:
An elderly, young, anxious or a special needs dog may need extra groomer support If this is the case, please allow for extra time.
Prices:
For dogs that are extremely matted, an additional charge may be incurred as the time needed to create the right look will require extra time. The actual price is worked out once your dog has been physically assessed. The price is worked out on the condition of their coat, how long the coat is, the amount of knots and the type of grooming style you want for your dog.
Dogs requiring SENSITIVE/ medicated SHAMPOO (Aloveen, Malaseb, MediDerm,
NutriDerm, PAW Sensitive) will incur an extra cost of $10. You are welcome to bring in your own shampoo to avoid this cost, just ensure it is clearly labelled with your dog’s name and phone number.
Cancellations/Late Pick-ups:
24 hours notice is requested for appointment change or cancellation. If sufficient notice is not received, a 50% charge will be incurred. To assure efficient running and timing of appointments, a telephone call would be appreciated if running late for the arranged drop-off/ pick up. Any appointments not taken up within 15 minutes of the allocated time will be considered as cancelled and a 100% charge incurred at the next appointment.
Pick-up times will be advised at the time of drop off or, by arrangement, a phone call / text will be made to advise pickup time. It is recommended that your dog’s vaccinations/ titre test be up-to-date.
